Eco Electric Heaters supplies and installs energy-efficient electric radiators and heaters, and services and repairs storage heaters, for homes and businesses across Dublin. We are part of the Infinity Electrical Group, a Dublin-based, 100% Irish-owned electrical contractor.
For the purposes of data protection law, Eco Electric Heaters is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this statement. That means we decide why and how your information is used.

2. Information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to your enquiry and to deliver our heating installation and repair services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Your address and Eircode — so we can confirm you’re within our service area and arrange a site visit, quote or installation.
- Details of your enquiry — information about your property, your existing heating or storage heaters, and the service or quote you’re looking for.
- Service records — notes, quotes, invoices and records of work carried out, warranties and follow-up communications.
Information we collect automatically
- Technical and usage data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages you view on our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
We do not ask for or knowingly collect special categories of data (such as health or financial account details) through our website, and we don’t take payment card details through the site.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information when you:
- complete our online quote or contact form;
- call or text our office or mobile numbers;
- email us directly;
- engage us to carry out an installation, service or repair; or
- browse our website, through cookies and analytics tools.
When you submit our website form, you’re asked to confirm that you’ve read and agree to this privacy statement before your message is sent to us.
4. Why we use it and our legal basis
Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. The table below sets out what we use your information for and the basis we rely on.

6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing. We only share it where it’s necessary to deliver our service or where the law requires it, including with:
- Infinity Electrical Group, of which we’re part, where needed to deliver and support your installation or repair;
- trusted service providers who help us run our business — for example our website host, IT and email providers, and form or booking tools — who may only use the data to provide their service to us;
- professional advisers such as accountants, where reasonably required;
- public authorities or regulators where we are legally required to disclose information.
Where a provider processes data on our behalf, we put appropriate agreements in place requiring them to protect it and use it only on our instructions.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
We aim to keep your personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of the technology providers we use may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision — so your information continues to be protected to GDPR standards.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above:
- Enquiries and quotes that don’t proceed — kept for a reasonable period to follow up, then deleted.
- Customer and job records — kept for the life of any warranty and to support future servicing.
- Invoices and financial records — kept for the period required by Irish tax and company law (generally six years).
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect it
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your personal information secure and to guard against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. This includes limiting access to those who need it, securing our devices and accounts, and using reputable, secured service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data once it’s with us.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights over your personal data. You can ask us to:
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify — correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete;
- Erase — delete your data where there’s no continuing reason for us to keep it;
- Restrict — limit how we use your data in certain circumstances;
- Object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- Portability — receive certain data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, just contact us using the details in section 13. We’ll respond within one month, as required by law. There’s normally no charge, and we may need to verify your identity first.
